Can anyone recommend a good network marketing business opportunity?

There are so many and I dont know which are good and which are scams

Can anyone recommend a good network marketing business opportunity?
Oh boy - you're going to probably get a boatload of people spamming this question with of course - their particular company. I don't sell for any network marketing company so my answer is objective.

I have, however, had marketing mentoring clients who are MLMers and so I've learned a lot about some of them. Additionally, I've spoken about my book in front of Mary Kay, Arbonne, Beauti-control, Pre-paid Legal, World Financial Group and others.

A lot of what's "right for you" is going to depend on you. Do you have an inherent passion for a certain kind of product? For example if you're all about health and fitness there are a ton of companies like USANA or AGEL that will be happy to oblige. If you're into high tech stuff - there are products like HelloWorld you'll be happy to talk about all day long - which you'll do a lot of.

But the big question in my mind is - why MLM?

I swear MLM companies have broken more hearts and dashed more entrepreneurial dreams because you are sometimes dealing with circumstances that are totally out of control and can not only impact the income stream you worked so hard to build but in some instances it can totally eliminate it.

* They change a product formula and sales plummet. Or it's found that a company is using perscription drugs in a non-perscription product to be competitive and the top brass is carted off to jail. (This happened last year with a company called Neways.)

* They change the compensation structure and you're left twisting in the breeze because you built your downline a different way and so you're suddenly making much less money.

* The company doesn't file the required papers with the FTC and they're shut down. The income you've worked so hard to build is GONE.

* Think going with an established company is better? Companies like AmWay and Mary Kay are so regulated that it's almost impossible to build a business with all their rules and regs.

* Go with a brand new company and there's a lot of buzz, excitement and entrepreneurial spirit - but not so much trust and credibility.

* and the list goes on.

Find a product you're passionate about and that people want and have confidence in your ability to do your own thing.

All the best,

If you let this question run for a while, you will probably receive enough answers to write a great article.

Presently, there are more MLM companies out there than I have hair on my head...they each promise to the best thing since "sliced bread"

The truth is that many are legitimate and solid companies.

Make sure to exercise due diligence when you are researching any home based business opportunity.

Also, try to find a product or service that you are passionate about. It makes it much easier to be motivated...and if you are motivated you stand a better chance at being successful.

If you choose a Network Marketing company, make sure they have a money back guarantee, have a great marketing system and provide plenty of support and training.

Try to get in on a company opportunity or training call to see what the business is all about and the type of individuals who are running the business.

I don't get involved in all the hype and I'm not going to try to sell you in this post. But, if you are truly interested in a great business....

Good luck in your work at home search.

There are some great opportunities out there if you know how to look for the right one.

Network Marketing is one of the fastest growing concepts in the nation and that is because of the excellent earning potential. Many people don't understand the concept so they just assume that they are all scams.

The important thing is to know how to find the right opportunity for you with a good pay structure and a sound company.

I have an article that can help you in finding the right opportunity for you. You'll learn what to look for, what to avoid and questions to ask to help determine if it is the right opportunity for you and if the company is legit.

I have over 20 years experience in network marketing and because of this business, I have the freedom to take the time each day to help others in their search to help them avoid the mistakes I have made along the way.

The article is too long for answers messaging but if you will email me at bonnieram1962@yahoo.com and let me know you want the article on finding the right home business, I will be glad to email you a copy.

I wish you all the best and look forward to helping you in your search.

If you believe that a Network Marketing Business can full fill all of your dream write me.?

please send me details

I have recently joined a network marketing business. Guide me in my progress.?

Dear , i will Probably ask some thing more explicit, wat kind of guideness do u need dear

I have recently joined a network marketing business. Guide me in my progress.?
That's a fairly open ended question...it's hard to guide you in your progress without knowing how you're progressing.

For a high level guide, here's some basic advice:

1- Be honest. Network marketing / MLMs have a bad rep already. Be sure to be completely honest with any prospects. Don't try to deceive or hide anything...that just makes things worse.

2- Learn the basic information about your particular business. You need to know your compensation plan well enough that you can explain to someone how it is they'll make money with you. You also need to know the initial investment cost and the monthly maintenance/membership costs.

3- Set realistic goals for yourself and for your new enrollees. For example, I have a goal to sign up one new person each month and to help each new person set and achieve the same goal.

4- Stay in contact with your upline and any corporate communication lines. Information is vital. Be sure to maintain frequent communication with your upline mentors and to stay abrest of any new announcements from the corporate HQ.

5- Stay in contact with people you enroll. Too often I see people just turn into enrolling machines where they sign people up and then just drop them. You need to be a good mentor for the people you enroll to help them understand the business. Otherwise, they'll just drop out.

6- Don't give up. Network marketing is HARD WORK. Most of the people in network marketing are NOT marketers (which may seem strange since the business is called a "marketing" business). Because of this, growing the business puts many of us out of our comfort zone. You'll have to work hard to find those "golden" prospects that want to sign up and build a business with you. But if you don't work hard, you won't sign anybody up...and as a result, you'll find yourself wondering why you're not earning any money.

I'd gladly chat with you in more specific detail if you have additional specific questions or concerns that would allow for a more specific guide.
Reply:Learn as much as you can about the business.

How do you get your network marketing business off the ground?

Please help

How do you get your network marketing business off the ground?
There's a lot of advice I could give to answer that question. One thing I will say is take action. No amount of training or support will build your business for you, although that is Very important. Spend more time 'doing' rather than planning. This might sound a bit simple but why make it complicated. The little things you do every day compounded over time is what gets you lasting results. Plan your work and work your plan.
Reply:I think the first thing to do is set your goals and know what your intent is. The reality is that ALL forms of business are a challenge and most people do not succeed in business. This has nothing to do with Network Marketing and everything to do with people who aren't willing to do the personal development necessary to make it and also taking advise from other people who failed in business.

I mean, why would you take business advise from failures. If you wanted to learn how to play baseball would you seek to model the worst players out there?

Sheesh.

Next, understand that you're dealing with a business and no matter how awesome it might seem to you, there is no such thing as a market that 100% of all people REALLY want. So when you're talking to someone about what you have to offer, first see if they really perceive having a problem that you can solve and then offer to show them a solution. If they're not into it, that's ok. Respect them enough to move on.

I've had great success in Network Marketing as well as "real" businesses and the process is the same. Anyone who tries to tell you different has no track record to know.

I know a guy in an MLM that I consider to be second rate and even he is able to grow a successful business and he's got a team that's growing too. The more he helps other people make money, the more he'll make money. Wow, what's wrong with that? Nothing to people who have ever held executive positions in a company before. As a COO and Executive VP in other businesses, my compensation package looked an awful like "network Marketing"

The bottom line though is to start with your intention. That is actually a million times more important than the "how-to."
Reply:Don't. It's the single worst business-related choice you can make in the entire world, bar none. Get online and find out the truth about your particular MLM industry at ripoffreport.com -- not every post there is from a person with whom you can/should identify, but enough are. You'll be able to tell by reading when people fail because they're lazy and when they fail because they were lied to non-stop about what to expect and how things really work.

I've been quoted 3K to 10K to network my business computers, why?

I would like to network 6 computers so that they can all share a medical billing software program. I've looked at the answers here and it looks like the cost should be at the most a couple hundred dollars, why am I being quoted thousands of dollars? Is there something I am missing?

I've been quoted 3K to 10K to network my business computers, why?
It depends on the technology used and how easy it is to get the network setup with the computer.

How far is the server room from the computers?

What type technology are you looking to use?
Reply:Just to network 6 computers would normally take about 30-45 mins and cost about £150, assuming you have socketed CAT-5 cabling in place already. Its really basic stuff.

You must be missing something, yes. Ask for a full statement of work.
Reply:Every IT service qouted different price from small business to corporate grade contractor.

Go for the lowest cost but make sure that they know what they are doing.

You can use a simple regular computer to be the host of a program like Quickbook and ACT. To find out what is the requirement for hosting a medical billing software, look for the system requirement. If it said Xeon processor with Microsoft Server then you going to need to buy a good decent computer that have Xeon, 2GB, two network card, and Microsoft Server or whatever it is the system requirement. If it just say Windows XP with system memory then you can use the regular computer to host the software.

I would make sure that the software allow more than 1 users which called a license. Find out if the billing software is a multiuser is by looking at the box or calling the customer service representative.
Reply:networked computers and a computer network are actually two different things. Networked computers share a common internet connection, where a Computer network directs all its traffic thru a single computer which typically oversee's the overall "intranet" or inside network. The issue it would seem is someone is quoting you to build you a network with a server, Windows NT or other OS with clients and several machines.

Determine what your needs are and adjust accordingly. Depending on what you ask for it will determine what you get so far as overall control and protection.

Good luck
Reply:Yes it could. U need a server to share the software. It could cost to buy a server. Plus u might need firewall and some virus blocking software and hardware.
Reply:It doesn't sound like your running a home business out of your garage so you really should'nt cut corners on system upgrades

Some may be offering more customer services.

You don't want to be in the situation, where you have a lot of work to do and your system craches because you wanted save a few dollars!

It will be at that time, you would love to turn back time and pay a premium to have the work done right.

You could be increasing the size of the CEOs Stock Portfolio to get it done right, but if you cut corners an get it done for a discount, chances are good, it won't be!

You'll pay more to do the job again!

Good Luck!
Reply:When you put together the equipment, and count labor, 3K would be just about normal, 10K would be far too much, and there is a HUGE 7K gap in there so you have gotten a broad range of proposal amounts.

I can try to give you the generic basics of why it'll cost so much.

#1 is equipment. I'm sure the Medical billing software takes up huge space, power, and processors so they'll add on a dedicated server to the proposal so the software can operate freely and independently of other systems. Dedicated servers can cost as much as a super suped-up computer ($1K-$4K). And along with equipment comes cables, power backups, wireless access if need be, and extra space for your client logs... and not to mention that these companies will buy the equipment from say, Dell or HP, and they'll increase the price so they can make profit when you buy it from them (it is very common - they'll buy a Dell server for $1000, then sell it to you for $1500 so they can make profit, and they'll do that for every piece of equipment).

#2 is labor. I'm talking actual work done, mileage, even a person to survey the computers to make sure they'll accept the networking of software. And labor will include the software needed to link all systems together to be able to log into the shared server (yes they charge you for the software and installation of the software on each computer when all they have to do is stick the CD in and click load).

What would cost only a few hundred dollars is if you wanted to link the computers together through the office network. All this is called is setting up a network. That would cost several hundred dollars for 6 six computers if you didn't have any special requests like loading shared software.

What sucks is that Tech Support agencies, Car mechanics, plumbers, and guys like that charge an arm and a leg because they know you NEED the service. You can't do it without them and they are the only ones who can do it effectively. If you are in doubt, please please you can ask them to explain the quote bit by bit and itemize it. You are definitely entitled to that.
Reply:Are you paying for this medical software too ?

We normally network an office in less than a day and thats all it gets charged, a day.
Reply:That depends do you have a server that the data going to live on? Is the office already wired? There are many thing to go into it. But, I agree with you that it does seem to be a bit high. Try to find an IT guy will to work after hours for a few extra buck and you'll get it done.
Reply:i dont know about all these other "do it yourselfer's" but i sure rest better at night knowing a knowledgeable tech has secured the network with all my medical information properly and not had some john doe jimmy rig it up.

Perhaps your not explaining yourself properly when getting quotes, ensure their not adding servers/dmz systems/expensive hubs/switches/routers ect

explain you would like to keep the cost to a minimum and get a written quote to compare the hardware differences.
Reply:Software and security.

If you are running all XP machines, and connected wireless then you should be able to create a home network within seconds. You can do it yourself and save all that money.

When you are calling someone about setting up a network, they are assuming that you want to run a server, and clients. In that case, 3k to 10k is about average.

Be cautious though, and make sure you have some security if you are wireless. HIPPA has teeth remember....:)
Reply:What you are missing ,is that on YA most people are talking about connecting two or three computers with 20 metres of Cat 5e cable through a modem/router they already own, using an Internet connection for gaming / browsing etc: at minimal cost.

What you want to do is a different thing entirely, You want to network 6 computers, sharing a billing software program, I assume, to maximise productivity and increase your profits.

Business networking requires a server, a backup system and the infrastructure to ensure that the system is stable and capable of performing consistently.

Remember if your network goes down, so does your business.

You need too look at the quotes carefully to see exactly what you are getting for your money, and you need to be perfectly sure that what you are going to pay for is what you really need (normally vastly different from what you originally want).

Remember that mistakes made at the initial stage cost much more to rectify later on when everything is operational.
Reply:It depends how big a building, but that sounds excessive for 6 machines. Try someone else.
Reply:Compare each scope of work. how much cabling is involved? Where will the software reside, does it require a server? If your office requires that Cat 5 cabling be installed along with patch panels and internet access equipment that is probably going to run you 1200 to 1500. Add a small server software licenses back up devices a UPS and an internet access equipment and it adds up quickly
Reply:I have no idea why you are being quoted the figure you are quoted since you have not specified what systems are involved.

However, if the person doing the work is a network professional then they probably charge from 50/hr up

You'll be paying for any equipment.. so if you are installing a cisco router that's going to cost you a few hundred to thousands.

If you were to hire someoone like myself to perform the risk assessment you are required to be in compliance with HIPAA.. you would be asked to pay those prices at a minimum... a small HMO or small Hospital can pay 75,000 or more for a risk assessment.

You'll want them to provide you a breakdown of the services. no? That's a mighty big difference between 3k and 10k

Good luck.

Why do you like network marketing business?

I enjoy the power to influence and time freedom it gives me. I love knowing that I can empower and change the lives of those I come into contact with. Of course, my personal business model is to lead with a lot of value for free and be a good resource for others. What you give away you get to keep...that's what I always say.

If you think about it there's really no other business model that is more fair then network marketing. You only earn in proportion to your ability to influence and lead.

Anyone can go to work and sit in front of a computer (maybe working efficiently for 2 or 3 hours of an 8 hour day) and make 40 grand a year. In network marketing if you add no value to another persons life you earn nothing. If you do nothing you earn nothing.

I hope this gives you some insight!

Why do you like network marketing business?
I don't. Some are more legit than others, but in the end they're all pyramids.
Reply:Network marketing as according to Robert Kiyosaki is "one of the best source of passive income" in the world. Notice how highly regarded network marketing is?

I am definitely experiencing great success with network marketing. However, I have to sincerely share with you that a online business is very similar to an offline business. It requires lots of hard work invested initially. Only when a system is in place, then only will you be able to reap its rewards.

I am going to shorten your learning curve by granting you the following system that has worked so well for me.

1) Find a niche market 2) Create an offer (Use your own website) 3) Drive Traffic to Your Website

With this system in place, you will be able to attain your wealth in no time.

Reply:I like being part of a network marketing company because it is the only industry that allows you the leverage your time. It's a distribution system, or form of marketing, that channels goods or services from the manufacturer to the consumer through a "network" of independent distributors or Consultants. It cuts out the "middleman" found in most industries. This way, the large profit that would normally go to the wholesalers, warehousers, shippers, advertisers and retailers goes to the independent distributors and those who help train them. This means that you get paid for your efforts and the efforts of your team. Your paycheck gets as big as it gets, there is no glass ceiling, and in some company's, you can pass up your sponsor. It's not a scam, pyramid, get rich quick scheme, or fad where just one person gets rich and others don't. It's a lucrative business that allows people to work at their own pace with a very generous compensation.

Suggestions for building Network Marketing business?

Lead with the product or service first! Anyone can be an expert on the product. If you lead with the opportunity you will fail like most. Don't claim to be making a lot of money unless you have the check stubs to back it up.

If you do not enjoy the product then I suggest you find one you do. Don't waste your time on buying leads. If you need leads, learn how to attract your own. Study your target market and how you can position yourself in front of them.

If their leads are so good, where is their money-back guarantee? Leadbakery is just one example of a list seller and they are even worse than the MLM companies.

Listen! There has never been a successful course or book on MLM success - all boil down to this:

talk to lots of people with questions like "If I could show you a way to make lots of money quick, would you be interested?" or "If I could show you a sure-fire way to build a financial fortress that would protect you forever, would you be iinterested?" or "Social Security is not secure. Build a MLM company and retire rich".

That's the first warning sign that something is rotten in Denmark.

Yes, some will sign up, but unless you are a "heavy hitter" and use illegal methods to trap people into becoming distributors, honest people cannot succeed at this.

Do you know why these courses never work? None of them work because the concept is a con - it's the confidence man's dream, jam packed with hype and hypocrisy.

The only people that will be making money are the list brokers selling the mailing list - and the course writers and seminar creators. If it was such a good deal, why wouldn't they join a MLM company? The mailing list would be free to them. You don't see them giving up a lucrative mailing list business to get into something that doesn't work. They are smart. They get it. And expensive training courses - what a joke. They offer courses that will never work for the gullible and naive - the GRQ crowd.

And I always wondered why none of the people who worked the administrative side of the "business" were not distributors if it was such a great deal. They knew a job was better than the smoke and mirrors, pie in the sky hype used to sell MLM. They knew that only the heavy hitters made any real money.

MLM is the world's biggest scam. I have tried it a couple of times, the last being Herbalife. It has now moved into the Internet to trap people into believing that they can Get Rich Quick. It is going global.

The only way to make big money is to sell distributorships for thousands of dollars or sell seminar tapes and books.

I once went to a seminar given by Herbalife. The president came to speak. We thought we would learn the secret from the horses mouth on how to get the fiasco to work. We couldn't believe how shallow his advice was. It boiled down to "talk to a lot of people". That was his "secret"..

If you do the math, and you are able to sign up lots of people, which is doubtful, you soon run out of people. You get 2, then those 2 get 2, etc. It the old binary progression. Do it 10 times and you are in the thousands. With every progression, the number doubles. 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024, 2024,4048,9096. The problem is those people in the beginning of the progression opt-out and gobble up the progression faster than Pac-Man. This is known as the "Drop Out Rate".

So what happens when thousands of people are doing this and with the internet it could be millions. You soon run out of people to talk to. And most people are smart enough to know it's a scam so right away you lose a huge segment of potential prospects.

Think about it.

In fact, finally, the numbers will exceed the entire world's population. It is a total dream world, a fantasy, completely out of touch with reality. It always looks good on paper, but none of the "heavy hitters" want to talk about drop-out rates.

Hey! What looks good in a spreadsheet, doesn't translate to reality.

The fact is that only the people who set up the program make money. The next level is all those scam artists that sell and give seminars on how to succeed in MLM. None of the schemes work because the concept is fatally flawed.

Why would anyone with a brain pay $30 for an herbal shampoo that they can buy at the local supermarket for $1, maybe $2 or $3 at the most. The same with pomegranate juice and Noni juice and all the other miracle juices, algae, and other strange things, even flower pollen.

Are you kidding me?

Get real.

Next, you will read all the anecdotal claims that the product will cure cancer and all sorts of other maladies. This is just another form of fraud. Where are the scientific double and triple blind studies? There ain't any. Sorry.

Listen! Don't forget this. Ask about the drop-out rate. Yes, the drop out rate.

Over 99% of the people who sign up will drop out after a few months or less. So even if you sign up a few people, they will be gone in months, if not weeks, when they find out how many people they have to talk to for just one distributor.

And your friends, co-workers, and relatives will not like you badgering them to join and will avoid you at all costs.

And most of the people who sign up are down-and-out desperate, who can ill afford to waste their money and who may be liable to criminal prosecution for promoting unregistered securities. And that's just in the USA. Foreign companies like Tiens leave you no recourse to any real legal remedies or enforcement.

And do you really know what's in this stuff? Of course not, it's jjust some con artist's word. For all you know, it could be like the tainted dog and cat food from China. It's not regulated. There is never any USP seal on it (United States Pharmacpeia).

Most of these programs die eventually leaving the suckers who signed up holding the bag. I had them die on me and not knowing any better, signed up for the latest MLM scam. After several attempts, I finally came to realize that it was all just a scam - some people became almost like religious zealots when they talked about their program that was going to make everyone rich and quick too. I lost a good friend when he believed my wild claims, put down $3,000 and lost it all.

The "industry" is full of disingenuous people whose mantra is "Fake it 'til you make it". Doesn't work. More fraud. They will give you testimonials of people who have made money, but they are liars and what they say cannot be proven. If it's so great why is there so much hype?

Here is a trick your upline will employ to get reluctant prospects to sign up. They will tell Ms. Reluctant that they will put some people under her and they take Mr. Hopeful who has already become a distributor and paid the fee and stick him under Ms. Reluctant which forces Ms. Reluctant to either buy in or lose the distributor. This is what happened to me in Herbalife. I was Mr. Hopeful. I thought I was signing up under a successful guy at the top known as a "heavy hitter", but I soon found out I had been scammed. Without telling me, he put me under Ms. Reluctant to force Ms. Reluctant to become a distributor. I did not like my new sponsor and after spending thousands on mailings, I finally dropped out. This is known as "stacking" and is supposedly illegal but it happens all the time.

Listen! My upline in Herbalife made more money selling a sales pamphlet than they did working their MLM business. We mailed out thousands of these pamphlets that we bought from our sponsor for a dime and he probably had them printed for a penny or less. He sold so many of them he had to set up a warehouse to hold and ship them.

Now, it's all done on the Internet via e-mail. But instead of mailing booklets, you get a Web site and collect e-mail addresses. But a fraud is still a fraud no matter what the media is that promotes it.

This was right before the Internet became popular and I was buying mailing lists through mailing list brokers and mailing thousands of booklets with not much success. I was lucky if 1% of 1% signed up as distributors. And they dropped out faster than I could add new ones.. Pretty soon, you run out of quality people to mail to. The internet makes this even worse, but they have to be more careful, but the spam continues to explode.

Check out this Web site: http://www.vandruff.com/mlm_faq.html... - for more facts, not hype about MLM and what a world-wide fraud it is.

I will probably get lots of MLMers who will villify me for trashing MLM, but I've been there and done it and I know first hand what a fraudulent scam it is that can destroy your life, drain you wallet and ruin your friendships.

Kindest Personal Regards,

P.S. Remember, there are no get rich quick schemes that work. If there were, the entire world would be rich in an instant, or as they say, a New York minute. I used to be gullible and naive and fell for some of them - no more. Be a sceptic. Be a doubting Thomas. Why are there thousands of GRQ schemes, because they work! Thousands of Gullible people believe that there is such a thing as GRQ and con artists take advantage of that. Demand proof, bank statements, tax returns, not hype.

P.P.S. Jeekers! You gotta remember - if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

P.P.P.S. Find some other way to make money. Have you tried e-bay? Get this book - How to Buy, Sell %26amp; Profit on eBay by Adam Ginsberg. Get this one too - Don't Get Burned on eBay by Shauna Wright. Another good one is: Three Weeks to eBay Profits by Skp McGrath. It cost nothing to sign up and find out about it. There are lots of tutorials where you can learn from the experts and most of it is free. Try getting free tutorials and expert advice from the so-called MLM gurus - free stuff would ruin their con.
Reply:The problem with lead selling companies is

You are not the only one they sell the leads to, by the time you get them the lead may have already been called several times.

make out your initial list again, work thru it, ask for referrals.

work thru referrals and asked for more referrals

I have some information on cold prospecting if you need that

darren5150@yahoo.com
Reply:You may wish to generate your own leads. The sites that sell leads may or may not be good. Some simply buy in bulk from some other list broker and sell them to you.

Some of them are legit, but still the leads get sold to many more people than you.

What you want is a prospect that is interested in your business, not a bunch of "tire kickers" who really won't join up.

Reply:If you have to buy leads, MLM is probably not for you. Besides, companies that sell "leads" sell them to anybody that will pay for them. As such, these "leads" have been called over and over again. Ask yourself why people would sell "leads" instead of using the leads themselves ?

Did you know that the people making the most money in MLM are the people selling the training, inspiration, selling leads etc. (Rather like during the gold rush, people who made most money were the people supplying the picks, shovels and pans).

(If you have researched MLM at all, you will have noticed that it is very, very, very difficult to make a living - leave alone buying a yacht through this game - the math is quite simple really - There is plenty of information available arguing both sides - so read carefully - and then decide). Good luck!!
Reply:Be careful you don't pay a lot of money for pretty much nothing! Many of the leads lists you buy have old information or the poor people aren't at all interested in your product.

It is much better to build your own leads list with people who have contacted you. For that, giving something away works really well.... free information, etc.

Why people are doing business instead of Network marketing business?

Example this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amway

some kind of MLM(Multi level marketing)

Why people are doing business instead of Network marketing business?
People like the brick and mortar setting of stores, they are used to it and feel familiar with the process.

This way they can see and by using their senses purchase an item(s) that they want.

network marketing is just a picture which does not give any sense of the product.

Starting a network marketing business and company offers a website. Are there any real ways to attract to site

I am just getting started and do not want to spend a fortune in the beginning until i see a profit, yet I don't want to miss opportunity either. Suggestions?

Starting a network marketing business and company offers a website. Are there any real ways to attract to site
If you have marketing money, use Google Adsense. It's the best way to funnel traffic to your site.

You could also contribute to forums in your industry, if others find your comments helpful they will check out your site.

These are some of the methods I used for my company.

You'll also want to submit your site to the major search engines.
Reply:Get a good domain name and put in lots of good keywords (in the html code) that pertain to your website. It will take a week or two for it to start attracting traffic. My company site took about 1 1/2 weeks to get traffic and we did not even pay to have it come up. I think it is a waste of money. The right keywords will get you picked up.
Reply:Yeah ! Google Adwords is a good way to go. If you are new to Network Marketing check out this resource site : http://www.geocities.com/lcming/network
Reply:Three ways that I have found works are:

google ads/ad campaigns

Fliers/newspaper ads about town with e-mail address

Business cards dropped when out and about...
Reply:The best way I have found to get exposure for my business is Fast Pitch! http://www.fastpitchnetworking.com...

It is basically a "mySpace" for business, but really focuses on connecting professionals with other people in your area or in industries you sell to.

They also have a kick-a** Press Distribution service (http://www.fastpitchpress.com) which gets you killer placement in Google and Yahoo

I have also tried other business networking sites like LinkedIn, Ryze - which are a little different (more job/classified focused)
Reply:There are various options for driving traffic to your site. You can write articles at ezinearticles, use adwords/adsense, link exchanges, etc. I could name countless ways, but you can contact me privately for more insight if needed.

Best wishes...
Reply:There is a problem with companies that offer websites. For what you actually do is spending money promoting their website while you can't really know when you make a sell or not. The best thing to do is get your own website, load it with keywords related to the products you want to sell, optimize those keywords, and submit to search engines like Google, Yahoo, msn, altavista, alltheweb, aol, netscape.... With real tracker you can follow statistics about visitors behavior on your site and know exactly when they purchase. There are very cheap solutions available. Web design: $250 or slightly more, web hosting for only $10/mo etc. One of them is http://www.web-hippie.com You may want to check them out.

Norton has a program called PC Anywhere. As long as you have internet both places, you will be able to schedule on your computer at home and at work. The other program is called "Log me in"

you could use a vpn or remote desktoping

logmein.com has nice tools for this such as himachi
Reply:u didn't specify urs exact requirement in details but i think VNC viewr and team viewer r the two softwares can give u control to remote pc mouse device u can explain them urs presentation through vnc viewr and a good quality web cam on onther pc but its quit hectic u must go for videoconferencing that is best way but its costly too
Reply:Networking the two locations would be too expensive to be practical, and it isn't necessary to accomplish what you are trying to do. The easiest and most efficient method of accessing your schedule from any PC in any location is to utilize something like: http://www.scheduleonline.com/WEBHELP/sc... or even better, just have your own website where you can create an online live calendar. You can find live calendars for your wesite like: http://mes-newslive.blogspot.com/2007/11...

You have many options available to you that will enable you to schedule clients from any PC anywhere. If you ultimately choose to use a calendar or schedule saved on your hard drive, the best way to access remotely is through an application like: gotomypc.com

Good luck!
Reply:There isn't a network way to do it (unless you are a large corporation) but there is always remote desktop or logmein.com. Either will let you control your remote computer.

Or if you are using Office 2007, you can do it via outlook or groove I believe.
Reply:Best method of doing this is to have a website that can monitor and keep track of all of it. Its also the cheapest route as well, and it serves a double purpose.. advertise your business and keep track of your clients. I can assist you further with this if you like, send me an IM at jackal_sbcc

Is network marketing business life changing opportunity?

Do YOU have the desire %26amp; drive/commitment to change your life?

If so then the answer is an enthusiastic YES!! I agree w Joel's posting before mine, there are many negarive voices out there who will be quick to tell you a story about .....a friend of a friend of a friend of mine who lost.....bla bla bla.

Don't let a "stinken thinker" like that kill your dreams! Most of the major network marketing opportunities are very much for real. That being said tho, there is no "silver bullet". Noone is going to give you anything for nothing.

My experiences w Amway (now Quixtar) and Herbalife have both been very positive life altering experiences. Partially from a financial standpoint, tho I never commited the time %26amp; effort to really bust out in either business.

But more significantly, for me, it exposed me to people who are very driven , have set realistic achievable goals, and enjoy sharing their positive outlook on life w others.

Like any other business opportunity there is a great deal of hard work, frustration, disappoinment dues paying, but the effort is well worth the reward!!

My advice, check out some of the opportunities, make a choice you feel good about %26amp; GO FOR IT!! Don't seek counsel from friends %26amp; relatives.....they will most likely convey negative thoughts mainly because THEY are up for such a challenge.

If I may offer further advice, drop me an email...I'm not selling anything!! Good Luck!!

Is network marketing business life changing opportunity?
Yeah, if being ripped off is likely to change your life.
Reply:yes take a look at mine, http://www.bradhasquin.com
Reply:It is if you put come time and committment into it

I recommend Forever Living Products - you can do as many or as few hours as you like and typically on 1-2 hours a day you will earn £1200 per month after 5 months and £30-£40k per year after 2-3 years - if you do more hours you should get more.

They are a $2 billion company growing at 25% per year and need a lot more people - no investment required also, regulated by Dti and Office of Fair trading and have investors in people award also.

It might have a bad reputation because most of these companies do not have a solid administration that would take there business to success but if you join that right company, like myself, you will become a part of the next 10 million millionaires that Paul Zane Pilzer wrote about (you should read his book "The Next Millionaires"). Reply:You can write off or deduct qualified business expenses on a Schedule C Form 1040 Profit or Loss From Business (Sole Proprietorship) - if you spent more than you made it will count as a loss against any other income that you made. If this was your sole source of income and you haven't paid any taxes to be refunded or your tax liability was zero to start with, you might want to consult an accountant about how best to do this.

Where is the best place to advertise a home based business opportunity in Canada?
Wait... "the Net and Network Marketing"?? Catch-22??

Those two should go together, hand-in-glove. And yet, Network Marketers have struggled to realize the near-infinite networking, lead-generating potential of the Web.

How can that be?

Network Marketing (sometimes called "Multi-Level Marketing" or "MLM" or “Two Level Affiliate”) is all about...

* recruiting/lead generation/relationship-building

* sales conversion

* ongoing consumption

* replicating yourself through downline motivation and training.

How in the world could the Internet not be the best thing since sliced bread for Network Marketers? Because it's being done, all wrong, by all the wrong people.

There's no need to push (i.e., chase cold calls/prospects) when you can motivate potential customers and business-builders to pull (i.e., they want to call you to learn more).

Advantage and disadvantages of using network in business organization, based on performance, cost and security.?

Justify, With multiple examples of different types of organisations, the advantage and disadvantages of using networks in their organizations. Answer should be include performance, cost and security issues on implementing a network system.

Advantage and disadvantages of using network in business organization, based on performance, cost and security.?
This is a very hard question to answer but I will answer it having my own business. First it depends on what type of network you want. Wireless or Wired. If your going wired it will cost about 100$ if your thinking a simple router installation but if you are talking a corporate wired network it could cost over 200 to 400 dollars if you want access for wall mounts. Wired is a good plan to go with because it goes a little faster than wireless but is less convenient for the mobile user who needs to move from office to office.

If you are thinking wireless. Go with wireless N it is the fastest and could cost you over 1000$ if you have more desktop computers that don't have wifi enabled. If you are using just notebooks and wifi enabled desktop computers it could cost up to half the price and will be a lot more convenient depending on your price range. Also what I said about speed difference before is not that much of a difference it is only minimal and may even be faster some times.

I would recommend wireless just because its more convenient

but it is really your decision depending on how big your company is or how big the building is.

One of the advantages though is that it keeps the company together more and just ends up being better in the end.

The disadvantages are that it can cost a lot of money and is over a lot of small companies budgets.

I own a small business and I need a network solution?

I own a small business that just started a marketing/sales campaign. We have two people working on sales. They open an "account" and then they list all the contact theyve had with them on the front of a piece of paper then on the back, list all the phone numbers and addresses. I need a free database program that they can both update from two computers on the same network.

Reply:Open Office is a good office suite, but it's database is limited. Try using mysql controlled by php, you can install the Apache web server on one machine, anmd there are plentyh of free distributions which include the mysql/php combination. A big advantage of this method is that it scales up very easily and can easily be transferred to a central server as you expand your business. This will allow you to access it from outside the office (client locations or at home), with good security, as the only external access required is the web browser port 80. Almost all my clients are now using this method of work control, including some very complex production management, being controlled from an overseas location through the internet.

Should I apply to the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity (Business Fraternity)?

AKP is a business frat on campus. A friend asked me if I want to do it. It is supposed to be a place to meet new people in the business college and network with business executives. I am a Marketing Major. The only thing is that I'm working and may not have time for this. Also, I'm involved in another club on campus and taking Violin lessons. In short, I may not have time and am worried that won't like this fraternity.

Should I apply to the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity (Business Fraternity)?
Of course you should apply. You'll never know if you will like it unless you try it first. I know you are busy, but college is supposed to be a chance to try everything you want to see if something is a good fit for you. Good luck in your pursuits.

Home computer maintenance business? Is it legal? Or do need a license to operate?

I have a few people already that I help with home computers. They pay me a few dollars for the service. But, what if I were to have more customers and grow my network of business. Would I need a license to operate?

Home computer maintenance business? Is it legal? Or do need a license to operate?
While the legal side of things can be tricky, you could get away with it if you keep it small and go to your customers homes to pick up the sick pc or on-site repair. The extra traffic might tip of the local chamber of commerce and they might say something about the zoning. So just keep it small and on the down low. If you need a good supplier tomshardware.com is a good site to go to. A good thing to offer would be a monthly maintenance package. All you do is go in and vacuum out the box as well as clean the exterior. Check for chip creep if its an old motherboard. Also stock up on artic silver as the stock cpu hardly ever comes properly setup for cooling(a quick polish on the heatsink never hurts) All this for only $30 bucks and can be done within an hour. Get four or five customer a week and do this inhome and you doing pretty hot. and don't forget to upsell. Everyone always needs extra memory. Package B could also include a complete virus, spam, and Trojan check. Aswell as the standard defrag(for windows boxes)and disk cleanup. this for an ext ra 15 bucks. a complete tuneup Hey pc is more like cars than one thinks(or is it the otherway around?)
Reply:you would only need a license to operate if you were paid by check or credit. if you are paid in cash, totally under the table, then you don't need to get a license. however, if someone were to report you for running an unlicensed business, you could get in a lot of trouble with the IRS.
Reply:If they pay you via 1099 as a consultant, it's OK. If you want to start a business, just go to city hall and buy a license for about $100.

Setting up Wireless networks for business environment...?

Ok since this is clearly for IT Techs I will be brief:

Best Hub/switch to use?

Is setting a Domain (server/Client) based network using server 2000/2003/Xp Pro the same as wired networks once its connected?

When does it bottleneck (how many nodes) when you are sharing internet over the wireless network?

What are the biggest headaches generally or is it as simple as it looks?

Setting up Wireless networks for business environment...?
As for the setting up of domain based notwurx, 'tis pretty much identical.

I can't truely recconmend any hardware, as I havn't owned or TTD any business models(at least, havn't been able to run diagnostics afterwards)

It is as simple as it looks, but nothing ever is, if you catch my dift.

As fo bottlenecks, hardware dependant. But even @54mbps, 49sumphin megabytes a second aint really that slow...
Reply:You will be better using dhcp from the server and turning off any dhcp from the other equipment. You should use a fast switch you can to link the wireless access points, each of which may handle 20 - 30 machines. If you keep the number per point down a little they perform better. The only problem is that some wireless cards can be slow starting on switching the machine on, or refuse to start until after login, this presents problems for domain profiles. I find Netgear cards reliably start before login and fairly fast. It pays to ask users to leave the machine at the login screen for a minute or two before actually logging on. I have not had too much trouble with this, so have not investigating forcing the machines to hold back the login screen until wireless connection completes, but it should not be too difficult to implement. In effect the lower speed of wireless can relieve the load of multiple nodes on 100M or 1000M switches.
Reply:It can be as simple or as hard, depend on who is doing it.

If theres only a few people sharing files, then dont even need a domain controller. anymore I would suggest SmallBusiness Server 2003.

Wireless router should have WPA for maximun protection.

Is there a better business opportunity than this one?

I am looking to start a home based business and I have been searching for just the right one to promote. I found a business that sells Noni juice at http://www.buyMynoni.com that seems perfect, but I just want to make sure if there is something better out there.

What I do know is that:

• I do not want to take surveys to make money

• I am not interested in MLM or Network Marketing businesses

• I want to stay away from the get rich schemes

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a better business opportunity than this one?
Unlike what "psychic-j" or "Mexico4me" says about By My Noni being just another MLM company, I believe the technical name is 2-tier Affiliate marketing that is entirely different than a MLM company that "Mexico4Me is involved with. I can't comment on "Psychic-J web site because honestly it had way too much text to read through so a clicked out.

What you should look for in a product is the price and ingredients. I believe from the clues Mexico4Me left in his message is that he is peddling "Himalayan Goji". So if you take a look at their price of $186 for four bottles you would think you are getting an excellent product, but take a look at the ingredients:

Reconstituted goji juice from whole Lycium barbarum fruit, grape juice concentrate, pear juice concentrate, apple juice concentrate, pear puree and natural flavor, with sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate added to maintain freshness.

When you see the word "reconstituted" on a product label that means they add water to it. The amazing thing about this product is that they add preservatives to the juice. Unlike at Tru Noni and their product is 100% pure at half the price.

MLM companies tend to have outrageous pricing and the product ingredients tend to be sub standard.

After looking at Buy My Noni's web site and Tru Noni I would say it is an excellent opportunity for you.
Reply:Regardless of how it is worded, it is indeed Network Marketing. They are using alternate wording because so many people have a bad image of Network Marketing or MLM. I think that is misleading. ( I checked your website)

I have a home business as well in the functional fruit juice industry. You do have the option of just doing sales...you do not have to network if you choose not to. That is why companies can say they are not MLM, even though they are.

I suggest you research your juices first before jumping into anything. There are substantial differences in the juices which can be checked out quite easily. The main thing to look at is the Bovis Scale, which has done an independent study on the differences in the juices. There is only one juice out there with medical validation including 75 clinical studies published on pubmed.gov. The one I am involved with was featured in Time magazine as the breakthrough superfruit of the century because it is the only food on earth that contains 4 natural polysaccharides!

Another thing to consider is the taste. I was previously involved with Noni and could not get past the taste. When you are marketing a product, you want to be able to offer people a taste that isn't going to make their face scrunch up. It's far easier to market something that not only tastes great, but has no water in it and there are over 2 lbs of berries in each bottle.

The bottle is another consideration. Ours is pharmaceutical grade plastic and is completely inert which protects the integrity of the DNA in each bottle.

I know that since I chose to market functional fruit juice, my income has proven that this is indeed the market to be in right now. It is fast becoming a trillion dollar industry.

Reply:I too have been looking for an honest business opportunity and the business you mention is the only one that I too have found that fits my needs. I like it because its not multi level marketing. I had a bad experience with Amway when I was younger.

I say go for it!
Reply:First they say "Our program is not a “Multi-Level Marketing” business."

Then they say "Recruit Sub-Affiliates – find other opportunity seekers and introduce them to the TRU NONI Affiliate program. You receive 5% of their monthly gross sales volume."

It may only be two levels but that certainly IS Multi Level. Nothing wrong with multi level, just don’t know why they try to hide it.

This may help you succeed....

Network Marketing (sometimes called "Multi-Level Marketing" or "MLM" or “Two Level Affiliate”) is all about...

* recruiting/lead generation/relationship-building

* sales conversion

* ongoing consumption

Here's how to Put The Net Back Into NETwork Marketing http://www.mlm.wotsnext.com
Reply:These are legit, free, and the companies have been around for a long time. They are repectful solid operations. One of them went public in 1999. The other is 20 years old. It will take a while and a lot of hard work to build them up. In the process, you will run into many more opportunities. You can start now.

Reply:Noni juice is in the field of network marketing, so if that does not interest you, you may want to steer clear. I am involved ina network marketing company and one of our mentors and a man who speaks at some conventions always refers to noni juice and he is a big network marketer. You may want tp research network marketing because that is exactly what you are getting into. Good luck!!!

Unfortunately it looks like they have suspended funding to individuals. Quote from the site --

Applying for a Grant

Right now, our primary focus is a number of charitable projects, like building a school for the children of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and hurricane recovery efforts.

Because of that, we're not reviewing additional grant proposals at this time. While we'll accept letters of inquiry, we won't be inviting many proposals for further consideration.

We receive many requests for help and sincerely wish we could assist everyone. Within the United States, we concentrate on organizations with an IRS 501(c)(3) classification. International organizations should also be charitable in nature. The organization's activities should also fall into one of our funding areas.

What are some creative ways to network and market my direct sales business?

I'm a single work-at-home mom with a toddler and I'm looking to expand my The Body Shop At Home business. What are some really unique, creative ways to meet people, network, and market my business? The less expensive, the better! Thanks!

What are some creative ways to network and market my direct sales business?
Are you looking to do direct sales online or offline?

There are different strategies for both.

For offline, try joining some playgroups in your area and networking with other moms. Direct sales is a popular option for stay home moms, so Im sure you will find many other in the industry who can offer local tips.

There are also tons of offline advertising methods. And online groups, creation of a website, etc.
