Independent Business Ownership (IBO) through networking with Quixtar and BWW?

I was approached by a neighbor who told me about IBO through the Quixtar and BWW networks. Please provide real life experiences and information about this group. Could this be real or a real waste of time? Thanks in advance of your responses.

Independent Business Ownership (IBO) through networking with Quixtar and BWW?
DO NOT DO IT! I got suckered into that. I swear they brain wash you. Every time i talked to them they'd give me this drink xcess, had something like 3000 X the amount of b12 that red bull did. Anyways i go into the meetings thinking how stupid of an idea the whole IBO thing was then i'd get hopped up on that drink and suddenly everything sounded great. All the products are overpriced and it takes ALOT to get any money back. Besides that i went to one of their weekend seminars... wow that was a horrible experience. They had me in these meetings for like 18 hours a day. You'd go to sleep at like 1 only to be woken up at 2 just to go stand in line for a first come first serve seating system at some college football system. The thing was there would alread be thousands of guys in line already 6 hours early. All standing around in suits like a bunch of jackasses. Then when they finally opened the doors every one would rush the seats like kids. And i mean rush 30,000 guys in busisness suits pushing people jumping over fallen people... it was insane something out of a movie. All this cause throught the whole thing you'd be on that drink plus all these energy pills they'd constintally give you. It was bad.

Trust me don't do it.
Reply:Quixtar, done correctly, is a legitimate way to earn income from home in your free time. It involves marketing health and beauty products to others (friends, family, acquaintances, neighbors, others within your network) and selling at retail to earn immediate income and sponsoring others who also want to do this business. When your business volume and the business volume of those you sponsor begin to build, you also will start to earn bonuses that, as your business grows, become substantial.

BWW, or Britt World Wide, is one of several "systems" for doing the Quixtar business (the North American brand of the global Amway business). All materials available through this system are completely optional and a person should only buy those they find useful to build the business they want.

Quixtar is returning to its Amway branding within the next year, and the business will be supported by national ad campaigns, sponsorships, and expanded public relations programs. I know this because I manage these programs for the company.

I hope you keep an open mind to how we can support your business the way you want to do it.
Reply:My husband was suckered into this joke of a home-based business. From what I saw of it, it was a waste of time AND money! To own a home-based business, you shouldn't have to pay a renewal fee each year. Once is enough.

This is how Quixtar operates:

1. Someone approaches you about "the business".

2. They make an appointment with you to "show the plan".

3. They make another appointment but by phone to get you to sign.

4. If you say NO, #2 %26amp; #3 will still occur, repeatedly.

5. If you say YES, then they want you to attend all their meetings.

6. They highly suggest you purchase points per family member. (4 family members = $400 (same as 400 points each month!)

7. They want you to spend hundreds in false hopes of getting a return of what YOU spend.

8. They teach you how to approach people as in steps 1, 2, 3 above.

9. If people tell you NO, then you go to these "networking meetings" where your upline gets with you and you have that same list of people that you have already harrassed, and start calling them again!

Do you like telemarketers? Do you like being harrassed? No? Well, Quixtar is just about on the same line as telemarketing and harrassment. Furthermore, they are a branch off Amway.

Hypothetically and kind of sarcastically, you would be better off creating an ingenius website (i.e. Google) and make millions off it than to join Quixtar.
Reply:I do not know about this particular company other then the fact that it is a net working company. Not all of them are scams but it takes a certain type of person to succeed. I suggest that you get more info, go to the meetings with a open mind but do not sign up for at least 1 month to get a informed decision. I am with a networking company called Market America where the company suggests doing the businesss for 90 days before registering your busines, that way you as well as your partners know it is a good fit. Do some comparisons in the different networking companies.

You can email me at kstefanik@yahoo.com for more info. Or go to my site to be able to do at least 1 comparison WWW.kandjstefanik.com I make commission on anything you see on the site. Good Luck
Reply:Go to google search and put in the name you want to check and put scam behind it. That will bring up several responses to your question. I could be mistaken but I believe Quixtar has been shut down by the feds. http://www.mlmsurvivor.com/quixtarrules....
